Don is a native Marylander. Don inherited his entrepreneurial spirit from his dad, a small business owner himself, and his wit and sense of humor from his mom. She always had a joke or quip on her lips and brought smiles to those in her presence.

Don launched his own company in 1992 after years of working in various phases of commercial construction and residential development. Real Estate Brokerage seemed to be a natural progression of his previous experiences and he decided to interview several national franchise sales representatives. He chose ERA to be his partner and opened his first ERA office in Urbana, Maryland. Don always appreciated ERA’s “Golden Rule” and “Steve Covey” principles and their TEAM philosophy. In the ensuing years, he and his company have received numerous award and commendations from ERA and his Brokerage has consistently ranked in the Top 100 and 200 ERA Brokers Nationally.

Perhaps the stepping stones to Don’s successful business ventures were learned in his childhood and later as an adult, by the many hours he spend on the field of sport. Fiercely competitive, Don learned that the building of a successful TEAM was not the easy product of assembling a group of “superstars” but by the harder task of creating a cohesive group of individuals who valued team work, hard work, shared goals and camaraderie.

Don and his wife, Esther, were married in 1970, have raised four delightful and successful children and are now the proud grandparents to six grandchildren. Family is at the top Don’s priority list and he always looks forward to visits with them.

In his time off, Don’s favorite place to “chill” is at the beach with his family. He enjoys an occasional round of golf with family or friends, likes to cook and spends any spare time working on his property.
